Today's Window-Door Moment

I'd been trying to schedule some tutoring appointments for this Monday, but cancellation happened at the last minute which was naturally frustrating.

They say that God closes a door, a window opens elsewhere.

As it happened, I soon learned that Jerry Sauder's visitation and funeral arrangements fell perfectly into the empty slots. Including the good fortune that the next two days are off days for Shrek.

It also reminds me of how lucky I am to be in retirement, without the pressures that would build up while being away from "the office" or perhaps be trying to press into my mind during them.
