GOODFIELD, IL - A trunk built 150 years ago was restored and unveiled as the centerpiece of a bundle of fall activities at the Freidinger family acres Sunday afternoon.
The festivities began with a feast of consumption from tables...
... by fire...
... and plucked straight from the water.
Those who weren't snacking were smacking...
...and eventually the crowd gathered inside to lay eyes on the same chest once toted by hands during Civil War days.
Some things are meant to stand the test of time!
