Making A Good First Impression

The fight-or-flight aspect of human nature causes us to make snap judgments - rightly or wrongly - about those we first meet. To make yours count:

1. Dress for the image you want to convey. Authoritative? Approachable? A mix?

2. Adjust your attitude. Be confident, enthusiastic. Prep yourself by recalling vividly a winning moment in your life.

3. Demonstrate open body language: Smile, eye contact, point your heart at the person's heart.

4. Synchronize your body language and tone of voice.
