Freidinger Hires Kidnapper, Taunts Parents

In a fit of independence and guile, Elisabeth Freidinger arranged to be kidnapped as a plot to gain leverage against her parents.

A note was left on the front porch: "If you want to see Elisabeth again, you have to promise to give her whatever she wants, and let her stay up late whenever."

Later that evening, a photo was texted home showing her delightedly munching on Mama Mia Pizzeria's fare, with a caption: "Elisabeth is having a great time and doesn't need to come home ever unless you buy me an iphone."

The plan was foiled when the victim got tired and wanted to sleep in her own bed.
