Condominium Master Insurance Policy Notes

A translation of several items from the insurance policy. Note that theirs is a one-size-fits all for the most part so we can't cut these coverages even if we may never use them.

Claim-free discount: Applies if 3 years of no claims.

Employee dishonesty: Means the same as the fidelity bond, it's just that the policy's limits are $25,000, so we add the $50,000 separately via the bond to get up to $75,000.

Equipment breakdown: The pool pump, for example.

Money and securities: In case e.g. we lose checks. $5,000 if lost on property, $10,000 if off.

10% increased cost of construction: Applies if we're insured on a replacement cost basis, adds 10% to covered amount.

Ordinance or law: If required to e.g. bring wiring up to code.

Money order or counterfeit: If someone gives us a false item.

Outdoor property: Antennas, trees, shrubs, satellite for named perils.

Loss of income and extra expense: Business income from ceasing of operations, e.g. if unit was being rented.

Business liability: Any negligent damage caused by any member, either personal injury or property damage.

Medical: For non-residents.

Directors and officers liability: Like Business liability, but specifically for the Board.

Aggregate limit shown is per-year.
