New Mattress To Arrive At Random Time

After 16 years of bouncy-coil comfort, the McDonald bedroom will feature a new resident.

The Queen Tempur-Pedic Tempur Cloud Supreme mattress, sold by Sherman's furniture store, arrived almost instantly after the order was placed despite promises of a 10-14 day delivery window.

The Cloud features technology to wick away heat for a more temperate experience.

Tempur-Pedic is known for its famous wine-glass commercials, with a person jumping on a mattress while the other half of the memory-foam calmly holds the drink upright.

Wine was not part of the shopping experience, but special features to adjust the bed upright or provide a customized massage.

"We were tempted," Joe said. "We decided to ponder it over breakfast at Bob Evans. In the end, a few creature comforts wasn't worth the extra $1,000."

The bed will arrive... sometime Saturday.

"I have no idea when," Joe said. "Could be 7am, could be 5pm."

Dena, who couldn't be reached for comment and with limited ability to freshen up on one good knee and one surgically-recovering one, was likely less enthralled by the adventure of it all.
