Horizon Wireless

While disentangling my computer from its moorings to deliver it to the shop, I realized that it's high time I start asking around about getting a wireless setup in our home. I'm guessing that it'll be less of a fire hazard, not to mention the potential to let Dena or someone sit on the couch while surfing the Net.

Some Hidden Bloggers have traveled this path already. Let yourself be heard!

Kels is mobile, as you already know. But I'm still chained to the pc. I'd like to see a netbook in my future, but not sure yet! All depends on if we can get a router to work correctly with our broadband. (without spending a ton of money that is) Of course, it's the usual gig....everyone I talk to has a different idea, or opinion on how a router would work with our system. ugh!

Go to Walmart
Buy a Cisco router (the $79 one)
Use the setup CD to get started.

Voila!

Welcome to the new millenium!

Hey thanks!! I'll look a little more closely into it and see what I find out. I'd like to update my broadband card before getting the router..but this helps, and I'll put the phone number into my speed dial! ;)
